Traditional Turkish Archery Courses were completed at Nicosia

Within the scope of the “Kemankes Project” by Archery Foundation and Yunus Emre Institute, Traditional Turkish Archery courses in 16 countries, including the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), were completed.

Traditional Turkish Archery Course was organized by Nicosia Yunus Emre Institute between 10 February and 10 April 2018 in cooperation with TRNC Archery Federation and Near East University in order to popularize the Traditional Turkish Archery, to encourage young people to the sports of horses and to transfer the traditions to the new generations. The closing program ended on Tuesday, July 31 with the certificate ceremony held at the Institute building.

Huseyin Sahin, Director of the Institute, thanked to the TRNC Archery Federation and the Near East University for the support they gave to the Turkish Archery course at the opening speech of the certificate ceremony.

The President of the Archery Federation of TRNC Ferdi Ciftci started his speech by thanking Yunus Emre Institute and underlined the importance of the cooperation and wished that the cooperation would continue.

After the certificate was given to the trainees who attended the courses, the ceremony was completed with the medals given to the successful ones in competition by the Institute Director Huseyin Sahin.
