The Yunus Emre Institute of Nicosia (YEI), under the auspices of the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Mustafa Akıncı, participated in the North Cyprus International Bellapais Music Festival organized by the North Cyprus Music Foundation.

The concert was held on Tuesday, June 12 by the Olten String Quartet, which took stage as a sponsor of Nicosia YEI. The performance of Eren Kustan (I.violinist), Gülce Karagozcuk (2. violinist), Ercan Atasoy (Viola) and Beste Başçı (Violoncello) has been applauded for many minutes.

On May 17, 2018, the festival began with a concert by TRNC Presidential Symphony Orchestra. The festival is held, with the participations from TRNC as well as Turkey, France, Russia, Italy, Syria, at capital of tourism Kyrenia known as historical Bellapais Abbey.

The festival will end with a gala concert of the Turkish Cypriot Peace Forces Regional Band on 20-21 June.
