"The Canakkale Epic and Turkish Independence March" panel was held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Nicosia Yunus Emre Institute. 

Professor Dr. Oğuz Karakartal and the grandson of Canakkale War, the son of 1963 Cyprus War martyr, veteran Sumer Sehitoglu, were the speakers of panel.

Sumer Sehitoglu who was the first speaker of the panel, stated that he had been participated to the army war in 1963 when he was 14 years old and he lost his father in this war. He told the participants the difficult process of Turkish Cypriots that faced in those years. Afterwards, Professor at the European University of Lefke, Dr. Oguz Karakartal made a speech on the Turkish Independence March and Mehmet Akif. He showed with documents that national march simultaneously accepted in Cyprus as well. The panel ended after the Karakartal's speech.
